Ryan Gary Poll,

CFP® Financial Advisor Managing Partner, LFS

At age 14, I was introduced fortuitously into the world of investing. From that time and until today, I continue to be an active participant in the global financial markets.

It was also at this early age, that I dreamt of becoming a full-time Financial Advisor, so I could share what I had learned, to better help others reach their financial goals and objectives. During my high school and college years, like others, I would get the question of ‘what do you want to do when you grow up?’ I would answer I want to help people make smart decisions with their money. In 2001, I was able to start as a full-time Financial Advisor. To this day, I continue to get to live my dream of helping terrific people, whom I now call my clients, to make smart decisions with their money.

Through the last several decades and by conducting thousands of face-to-face financial meetings, I’ve learned the following:

  • In retirement, most people want to continue to live a similar type of lifestyle that they lived during their working years. In doing so, they also don’t want to outlive their money.
  • At death, most want their remaining assets to go to the people and organizations they love in an efficient and seamless manner.
  • Besides passing on their wealth, most really would appreciate having their ‘life story’ continue to be told, as a keystone to their legacy.

To this end, Legacy Financial Strategies was created, so we can help our clients professionally address each of these bullet points. In doing so, I also get to live the dream of a 14-year-old boy each and every day.

Outside of my professional career, I get to be a father to four fantastic children and married to the most wonderful person in the world. When outside of the office, I can usually be found coaching one of my children’s teams, serving in a neighborhood or church program, while still hoping to make time to conclude the day with an evening walk with my wife.
