Jon Hooiman,

RICP® Financial Advisor Partner, LFS

I love to write music. It is exhilarating to take a concept or melody from my mind and capture it through music. Having written over 100 songs, I find joy in allowing others to listen to the final recording of a song that I heard in my mind when it was just an idea. Through the process of writing music, I have developed a step-by-step method of taking my ideas and getting the desired end result. I do this by starting with the end objective in mind. Each step I take in this process gets me closer to the final product.

Ever since beginning my career at Raymond James in 2011, I have taken the same principles of writing music to help many individuals prepare for and live in retirement with financial confidence. I do this by helping others identify the end destination of their financial journey, and then I walk with them each step of the way to navigate them through the twists and turn of life.

In order to polish my approach to help others with retirement planning, I obtained the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation. Obtaining this designation taught me how to specialize in Social Security filing strategies, Required Minimum Distribution planning, techniques to help mitigate risk, and so much more. I am passionate about helping people see the end from the beginning and enjoying the retirement they want.

When I am not at work, I spend time with my beautiful wife Brittney and our three children. I also spend time serving in my church and community.
